Many of the people you meet here have had family members here for decades! Listen closely and you will hear stories going back to the early 1900s when local farmers donated the stones for the church by bringing wagon loads in from their fields late at night.
We hope as you visit our church, that you will enjoy the beautiful stained glass windows and unique art murals! And as you look at our beautiful statues around the church, please remember that Catholics do not worship statues! Like the family pictures you have in your home to remind you of your loved ones, our statues remind us of those who have gone before us. We believe that we are all members of the communion of saints, and what a wonderful group to be a part of, as we pray for help from those who are now closest to the Father in heaven!
Be sure to notice the beautiful tabernacle in the center of the church, on the back altar (it is shiny and gold). In it is the Real Presence of Jesus, in his Eucharistic body. At every Mass, we listen to God’s inspired Word proclaimed in sacred scripture and receive Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.
We hope that you will join us in the St. Joseph Room following the 7:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. Masses on Sunday, for coffee and doughnuts. It is a wonderful time for our parish family to come together and enjoy a nice treat and some fun & friendly fellowship.
The brick building next to the parking lot by McDonald’s holds our parish office. Our secretaries are there to greet you Monday – Thursday. Please call the office (810) 686-3920 anytime, or just stop by!
We hope to see you soon! Have a blessed day!
