Genesis 46:1-7,28-30
(1) Israel traveled with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father, Isaac. (2) God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” He said, “Here I am.” (3) He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Don’t be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation. (4) I will go down with you into Egypt. I will also surely bring you up again. Joseph will close your eyes.” (5) Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried Jacob, their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. (6) They took their livestock, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt—Jacob, and all his offspring with him, (7) his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and he brought all his offspring with him into Egypt. (28) He sent Judah before him to Joseph, to show the way before him to Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen. (29) Joseph prepared his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, in Goshen. He presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while. (30) Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.”

Psalms 37:3-4,18-19,27-28,39-40
(3) Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. (4) Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (18) Yahweh knows the days of the perfect. Their inheritance shall be forever. (19) They shall not be disappointed in the time of evil. In the days of famine they shall be satisfied. (27) Depart from evil, and do good. Live securely forever. (28) For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. (39) But the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble. (40) Yahweh helps them, and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked, and saves them, Because they have taken refuge in him.

Matthew 10:16-23
(16) “Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. (17) But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you. (18) Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations. (19) But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say. (20) For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. (21) “Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death. (22) You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved. (23) But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel, until the Son of Man has come.
